1. How do I find what I'm looking for on this
website?
Well, if you know the name (like Scrabble) then simply type it in the search bar at the top right hand corner of
our website, and click the "search" button. Then it will list all the
games matching that search. You can also search by Item Number if you know it. Then just click on any one of those game titles to see
more details about it, including pictures, descriptions, ages and players,
awards it has won, etc.
Or if you are looking for a certain kind of game, you can browse through any of the categories listed down the left hand side. You can just click on a category to browse through some of the featured games in that category and choose from subcategories to browse. Then click on a particular game for more details. 2. How can I contact a game expert or customer
service agent at The Game Shop?
We're here for you. We want to hear from you. We want to help you. Most of
all, we want to serve you well. You might want a game recommendation for your
8-year old son's birthday party. You might have a question about the difference
between Scrabble and Scrabble Deluxe. Maybe you want to talk to someone about
volume discounts, ask which game will make you the hit of the party or you might
want to find out what kind of pretty pictures are on our gift wraps. If you ever

3. Do you have a full catalog of all your
games that you can send me?
Well, we did. We published a Fall 2003 catalog, but we haven't done one since. The website is the
complete resource for all 1000+ of our games. It has much more information
than we could ever print in a catalog anyway, and it's updated all the time!

4. How can you ensure that my personal information
stays private?
We like our privacy and we figure you like yours too.
Therefore, any information you provide is completely private between you and us. Unlike a
lot of other web stores, we will NEVER give your name or personal information to
anyone, ever!! Your name will NOT show up on 100 different mailing lists. No
other company will ever bother you based on your interests. You will not receive
junk emails from other companies because you shopped with us. The Game Shop
will never participate in supplying mailing lists, email target groups,
or any other form of distributed customer information. We guarantee it!!

5. How can you ensure total credit card security?
At The Game Shop, we only use the most secure, protected means to
transfer data to and from our servers. All your information is encrypted using
128-bit SSL technology provided by Verisign, one of the world's most trusted
names in digital security. There is no more secure way to do business today, and
we fully guarantee that your credit card information is completely safe and
protected with us. In fact...
Using your credit card at TheGameShop.com is even safer than using it at your local
mall!
Here are some security issues when you shop at your mall:
- Someone could physically steal your wallet or pocketbook.
- The cashier scans your card, and the card reader transfers your credit card data over unprotected, non-secure phone lines, an incredibly easy target for any hacker.
- The person next to you in line can see your credit card number while you sign the receipt.
- All the 16-year old kids working behind the counter, and several people in the accounting department of the store all have access to your credit card information if they want it. Unfortunately, there are some dishonest people out there.
- The store usually throws out the receipts at the end of the week. Anybody can go into their dumpster behind the store, and find a gold mine of credit card numbers and signatures.

6. What's your return policy?
We want you to enjoy the games you buy from TheGameShop.com, and we want you to shop with confidence. If you get a game from us that doesn't work,
we will replace it at no cost to you. And you may return any game** for a full refund. Simply mail the game back to us, and when we receive the
game in good condition, we will credit the full amount of the game back to you.
** Like all major retailers, due to the widespread illegal copying of CD's and DVD's, we are unable to offer refunds on opened CD and DVD
and video games. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

7. How much will it cost to ship a game to ______ ?
We offer FREE GROUND SHIPPING to a single address in the continental US for all orders over $75.
Our website is setup for shipping to US addresses only. Shipping is calculated based on the weight of the items in
your shopping cart, and the shipping destination. For standard US shipping,
there is a minimum shipping charge of $7.00 for orders under $75.
Expedited delivery will obviously
cost more. For an estimate of shipping costs, add the
item(s) to your shopping cart, and then just below the line item, click the button
to estimate the shipping costs.
If you want to see exactly how much shipping will be, add the items to your shopping cart, and proceed through the checkout process. After you enter the billing and shipping information, it will present you with your shipping options and prices. If you wish to place the order, just continue through the checkout. If you don't wish to order, then don't continue through the checkout process. Until you enter your payment information and click the final submit button, no orders are sent to us. So don't worry about changing your mind. It's no problem!

8. How soon can I receive my order?
All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA.
Unless you choose the Top Priority Processing for $1.99 during checkout, it can
take up to three business days for your ground order to leave our warehouse.
If you choose the Top Priority Processing and it is before 1:00 pm ET, we will
get your ground order shipped that same day, after that it will go out the next
business day. For 3-day, 2-day and Overnight Orders before 1:00 pm ET, we
will ship your order that day, otherwise it will go out the next business day.
For most US orders, you can choose from:
- Fed Ex Ground Service (1-8 Business Days)
- Fed Ex 3-Day Service (guaranteed within 3 business days, by the end of the day)
- Fed Ex 2-Day Service (guaranteed within 2 business days, by the end of the day)
- Fed Ex Overnight Service (guaranteed within 1 business day, by the end of the day).
For orders to Hawaii, Alaska:
At this time we only offer Fed Ex 3-Day, 2-Day and Overnight service.
For International orders (including Canada):
At this time we do not ship outside of the United States. Sorry.

9. I'm looking for a specific game that's not listed
on your website. Can you get it for me?
Although The Game Shop has the largest selection of games anywhere in the
world, we certainly can't have every game ever made. One limitation is that we
only carry games that are currently available from the manufacturers. So, if
you're looking for the original 1930's edition of Clue, we would suggest
checking at www.eBay.com or some other online auction site.
Often times, a customer will call us about a game that they can't find, and after talking with her, we realize that the game now has a new name and we do have it, or there's a game that we do have that is almost exactly the same, but by a different manufacturer. So please don't hesitate to email or call our game experts if you need assistance.

10. I'm not familiar with your company… who are you
guys?
Glad you asked! The Game Shop was started in December of 1999 (under the name Board Games Express) by Erik
Szabo and his wife Kristi. Both of them are Pennsylvania certified teachers, and
both love playing games. They use games in their classrooms to teach, and love
to play games with their friends and families. They brought laughter and fun
everywhere they played. Their vision for this company is not that of a typical
retail store. The Game Shop was created for spreading joy rather than
solely for making a profit. And because of this passion for entertainment, The Game Shop
has emerged as the premiere board game and card game store in the
universe. To ensure that you can find the games you will enjoy the most, we
currently have over 1200 different board games and card games in stock, and we're
adding more every day. We are proud to say that we have people on staff who have actually played
almost every single one of our games. We have more information about our games than any other
website (complete rules to most games, detailed descriptions right off the box,
etc.) We have thousands of happy customers, ranging from grandmothers to huge
school districts. The Game Shop is growing beyond all our expectations,
